Welcome to DuBose Middle School, Home of the Wildcats I am very excited to begin another school year here at DuBose Middle School, but this year being my first as the head principal. We appreciate all of the support we receive from parents and community members. We encourage you to come visit our school and see all of the fantastic things that are happening here. We are creating a "Renaissance Experience" by offering the best in academics, fine arts and athletics here at DuBose Middle School.

Online Summer Exploration
Online Summer Exploration is Back!
Dorchester School District Two is proud to announce the return of the Online Summer Exploration (OSE)! These offerings provide the opportunity for students to further explore topics in Math and English Language Arts. An added benefit is the prevention of “summer learning loss,” all from the convenience of your home via any Internet-accessible computer.
ALEKS
Students complete self-adjusting learning paths in Mathematics.
ALEKS will be available from June 10th through August 2nd.
Cost is $22.50, payable online through the District (a 50% discount from retail consumer cost).
Compass Learning Odyssey
Students can complete standards-based learning paths in Math and English Language Arts.
Compass content will be available from June 5th through August 2nd.
To receive maximum benefits from the program, the students should average two hours a week over the 8 week program. Middle school students that complete 16 hours of Compass during the program dates will be entered to win one of the following prizes: A Samsung Chromebook or one of five iPod Touches!
Blended Learning Keyboarding and Computer Applications
Each course is 1/2 high school credit. Classes are for credit and impact the students' high school transcript. Only current 7th and 8th grade students (rising 8th and 9th graders). Work is rigorous and self-paced. Classes will require on -site visits for instructional assistance adn proctored exams. Teachers will communicate dates and locations. Summer tuition is $75 for one course.

Certified Teachers will electronically monitor student progress and communicate progress with parents by email.
Participation in the Online Summer Exploration (OSE) is voluntary. Participation has no impact upon promotion, retention, or placement.
