Personal Responsibility In Daily Education
The mission of DuBose Middle School is to
provide a safe
environment where all students can learn at their highest level.
The vision of DuBose Middle School is to provide each of our students with the skills necessary to become productive citizens through the provision of a nurturing environment with rigorous and relevant learning; and to provide an environment where staff, parents and community work together to provide challenges and opportunities for each student to reach their full potential.
We need volunteers on May 6-9 to be SC PASS Monitors. Please contact Ms. Mosley at 875-7012 if interested.
If you are interested in volunteering to be a SCPASS monitor please arrive by 7:45 am.
8th grade dance
A Vintage Affair
DMS 8th Grade Dance
May 3, 2014
6:00 – 9:00 PM
Attention all 8th grade students, you are invited to help celebrate your “graduation” from DuBose Middle School at “A Vintage Affair”, your DMS 8th Grade Dance. Below you will find information that will be helpful to you as you prepare for this event.
When and Where:
The dance will take place from 6:00 – 9:00 PM on Saturday, May 3 in the DMS Cafeteria.
Tickets will be sold in two waves
- CAT Card holders can buy their tickets for $8 on April 9 and 10
- All others can buy their tickets for $10 on April 21 – 29
Tickets will be sold during your lunch periods in the cafeteria.
Who to Bring:
Most people come with a group of their friends, but if you want to bring a
special someone, the following rules apply
- If the person is from DMS, they MUST currently be in the 8th grade
- If the person is NOT from DMS, they MUST be a student in a DD2 school. They must be in either 8th or 9th grade and cannot be older than 15.
- If you are bringing someone NOT from DMS, you must get a guest form which needs to be signed and approved by the student's principal and Mrs. O'Rear (you can get these forms from Mrs. Johnson starting April 1).
What to Bring:
Remember that you will be dancing, eating, and socializing the entire time. Therefore, remember to bring only items that you can keep on your the entire time.
What NOT to Bring:
If you wouldn’t bring it to school, don’t bring it to the dance.
This event is a formal event. You are expected to look nice.
Definitely, NO SHORTS or T-SHIRTS permitted. Also, NO FLIP FLOPS
or BEACH SHOES. You will be sent back home to change if you show
up wearing these articles of clothing.
If you receive a referral between now and May 3, you are putting yourself at risk of NOT being permitted to attend the dance. In these cases, NO REFUND WILL BE PROVIDED.
